Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus means ”spine lizard”.
Spinosaurus may have been the biggest predator dinosaur ever to walk the Earth. It spent most of its time in the water, where it hunted its prey. It almost certainly ate both fish and other dinosaurs. Its forelegs are more powerful than those of most other predators, so it may well have walked on all fours on dry land.

Did you know about Spinosaurus
that ‘the sail’ on its back was almost two metres high? It is not known what Spinosaurus used it for, but it may have helped cool down its huge body. Alternatively, males with extra large or colourful ‘sails’ might have used this feature to attract females.
