The Danish Nature Foundation
The nature in Denmark is struggling, and many species are threatened because there are too few habitats. In fact, Denmark is one of the most nature-poor countries in the EU. Therefore, it is important to support foundations and organizations working to create more and better nature in Denmark.
Givskud Zoo Nature Fund has chosen to support Den Danske Naturfond/the Danish Nature Foundation. This foundation was established in January 2015 by the Danish government, the VILLUM FOUNDATION, and the Aage V. Jensen Nature Foundation. The foundation works to improve the state of nature and the water environment in Denmark, and at the same time, it aims to increase the public's interest in helping to protect and preserve nature. The Nature Foundation acquires land where nature is restored and cared for, ensuring its preservation forever. Givskud Zoo Nature Foundation supports this work by purchasing land to create more habitats for wild animals and plants, where everyone can experience magnificent nature on nature's terms.
