Dogs

Dogs are very welcome at Givskud ZOO – ZOOTOPIA! However, to ensure that everyone – dogs, humans, and the park's animals – has a good experience, there are a few rules we ask you to follow when bringing your four-legged friend to the park.

  •   Always keep your dog on a short leash: Keep your dog within 1-2 meters of yourself at all times. Only one dog per handler.
  • Always keep an eye on your dog: Your dog might become curious or nervous about all the new impressions in the park. Always keep an eye on your dog and help it have a good day.
  • Keep your distance: Not everyone likes dogs, and the park's animals might get scared or agitated if your dog gets too close. This could also frighten your dog.
  • Be aware of where you can bring your dog: There are signs indicating if dogs are not allowed in certain areas.
  • Your dog is your responsibility: If you are not in control of your dog, it may result in expulsion from the park.

Electric cars

You will find charging stations for your electric car immediately before the entrance to GIVSKUD ZOO. The charging stations are operated by E.ON - read more about E.ON here.

Emergencies/Acute illness

In the event of acute illness or emergency, contact the zoo staff IMMEDIATELY. All our staff are in radio contact with a qualified paramedic. The zoo has emergency medical equipment, including a defibrillator. To raise the alarm, call (+45) 75 73 02 22 or (+45) 21 65 28 47.

If you call the emergency services directly, make sure that you also contact the zoo staff. We will guide the emergency services vehicle through the park so that you get help as quickly as possible.

Hidden disabilities sunflower

It can be stressful for people with invisible disabilities such as autism, Alzheimer's, brain damage or ADHD to visit tourist attractions. And it is also not always that the outside world can see it if a person has an invisible disability or a diagnosis that makes the person need extra support. That's why GIVSKUD ZOO - ZOOTOPIA is part of the Sunflower program. This means that the park's guests with special needs can be given a sunflower string, which is an international symbol of invisible disabilities and afflictions. Please ask for it at Ticket Sales.
